TERMS OF USE: 

You are about to access a training module offered by the City of St. Louis Park, Minnesota (“City”) through Thinkific. You may use the training module only if you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). The City reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time without prior notice, and your use of the training module binds you to the use of the changes made. We do occasionally update these Terms so please refer to them in the future.  

When you register for a Thinkific account in order to use the training module, you will be asked to set up a profile. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when establishing your account and to take all reasonable steps necessary to maintain and promptly update the account information to ensure that it is accurate and complete. If you provide any information that is untrue or inaccurate about yourself or others for whom you establish a profile, or City has reasonable grounds to suspect that such information is untrue or inaccurate, City may suspend or terminate your account immediately. 

The training module is used to meet the requirements to maintain your rental license issued by the City.  

As a user of the training module, you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to use it appropriately for training. Your use of the training module shall not violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of the City, or any third party. The City does not provide support for any of your personal equipment or devices that are connected to the training module and does not assume any liability for their functionality, contents, or serviceability.  

The City does not sell or lease personally identifiable information, such as a person’s name, address, and phone number. However, when you provide information to any governmental body, that information may be subject to the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act (“Act”) and applicable federal or local law. Activities on the training module cannot be guaranteed any right to privacy. If you provide personally identifiable information to the City through the training module, such as by filling out a form, then the use, storage, and dissemination of that information will vary based on the department and service involved.  

The City assumes no liability and is not responsible for any loss or damage to your data or devices, invasion of your privacy, or for any personal damage or injury incurred as result of using the training module. You understand that the training module may not be secure. Anti-virus and security software are your responsibility. The city assumes no responsibility for any damages, direct or indirect, arising from the use of the training module. You acknowledge that security errors and hacking are an inherent risk associated with the use of any web-based service, including the training module, and you agree that you knowingly assume such risk. YOU AGREE TO HOLD THE CITY OF ST. LOUIS PARK, MINNESOTA, HARMLESS FROM ANY CLAIM OR LOSS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE TRAINING MODULE, INCLUDING INSTANCES OF HACKING OR OTHER UNAUTHORIZED USE OR ACCESS INTO YOUR DEVICE.
